Data collection and sharing is an important part of learning about and addressing the cancer problem for firefighters.  Throughout 2024, members of the PIIERS oversight committee worked with the National Firefighter Cancer Registry (NFR) to establish a link to share data from PIIERS entries to the NFR. This is a great benefit to PIIERS users, as it allows shared information without having to go to separate websites to enter duplicate data.  As a PIIERS user, you can Opt in to share your information with the NFR project by doing the following:

• Create an account with NFR. You will receive a 7-digit NFR registration number.
• Answer the questions in the NFR survey
• Log in to your PIIERS account and under your account information, at the top of your account page, select "Yes" to share your data with NFR.
• Scroll down your account page and enter your 7-digit NFR registration number.  
• Scroll to the bottom of your account page and click "Save Settings."
